We designed this co-op’s community roof garden on Manhattan’s Upper East Side to be able to be enjoyed by multiple groups of people at the same time. The garden features comfortable wicker furnishings with bright red cushions for a cheerful pop of color. Dark brown bamboo fencing covers an existing brick wall that was a little boring looking and helps add more warmth to the space. Plantings include lush, low-maintenance varieties like maiden grasses, junipers, Knockout roses, hydrangea trees, Japanese maples, and variegated euonymus.
